Closing down schools is no big deal

"Why such a fuss about shutting down schools as a precautionary measure???? As if our kids are soldiers and the schools were a battle field from which their absence is inconceivable. It seems to me like an ego issue. Staying indoors for a few days for... the kids in order to understand, plan and then move on in life will do no harm for sure.Why such a fuss then? Slowing down for a few days will not solve the problem that has come to engulf our lives from all corners. But if will surely do not harm and might end up calming down things a bit at least
