Why oldies have to pull the chariot

When corporates are working over time to make people in the their 40s redundant why does Indian polity not think likewise. Some of the points to support this point of view are:-

1. Veterans will take risk in keeping with the time that they see ahead of them. Their risk taking on behalf of the next generation will get limited by their own conditioning. They will tend to think short term because of the need to have quick results. After they would like to see the fruits of their doing in their life time which obviously is just a few years.
2. Veterans are conditioned with old and outdated methods and concepts. interpretations of culture do not cut ice with those who have to traverse a longer path into the future. Hence culturally they are out of place and all their decisions hinder the youth and block their path.
3. The veterans do not understand technology. While they want to stay as far as possible from it, the youth on the other hand are embracing the "rams" and "roms".
4. The veterans talk of slow and steady while gen next is all about speed.
5. The veterans are driven by the values of "conformity" and "order" while the youth are exploratory by nature driven by inquisitiveness.
6. The veterans are risk averse while the youth are open to calculated risk taking.
7. The veterans are conditioned to be feudal by nature. The youth are democratic, inclusive and accommodating.
8. The veterans are tentative while the youth is spontaneous, confident and comfortable with themselves.
9. Veterans are limited by their tried and tested style while the youth love to challenge the limits of accepted methods.
10. Veterans are a disciplined lot while the youth are creative.

While the wisdom, discipline, experience of the veterans are invaluable and must be tapped to build a strong foundation for our nation, the youthful spirit, intuitiveness, energy and confidence of the youth will provide the spark that will help the nation soar into the clouds and beyond.
